Uganda Safari Guide
1. Ensure that you
take on an early morning game drive on Safari! Forget about
waking up late because you think you are on holiday. Wildlife is
in motion, as the early birds catch the worms! Animals make less
movements under hot sun. Late evenings are also cooler and
better as nocturnal species are either getting up. This is all
about high chances for greater game viewing.
2. Pay particular
detail to everything that you come across. For maximum fun, do
not only focus on the big five only and then think that's all
for your safari! Consider the insects, birds and other smaller
creatures, the plant species and the people.
3. A couple of
inviting standard binoculars is unquestionably unavoidable on a
safari so make sure you catch your hold with. Some safari
companies do prepare them but they might be a slight worse for
you to wear after a lot of use and it can be frustrating to have
to give them out to your neighbour when you actually still want
to look at bird in the distant place.
4. Most of the
destinations have insects which could come across you! Ensure
that you are a repellent! Please don't forget your insect
repellents. Long trousers or long sleeved shirts can help to
reduce contact with some of these insects. Also remember to
carry anti malarial pills, diarrhoea, and basic medication,
though good safari operators will move with them.
5. When it comes to photography,
do not just carry a film! You can imagine that 2 rolls can be
used a day. For a digital Camera, remember to carry as many USD
cards as possible. When you get time, remember to recharge your
battery in the lodge. Electricity in Africa is. Electricity in
Africa is 220 - 240V AC50HZ.
